Just got my HH Diamond card validity claim

Hi All,

Just got my HH Diamond card, it states valid until March 2016. I had heard that card is valid only after 4 stays are completed in 6 month period, I have had no travel as yet so is the card wrong or am I just lucky...

The terms are some wank that in most people's experience are not enforced but you seems to get status as if you earnt it so valid for this year and all of next year. No stays required but you never know when they might start enforcing that rule.
 
I was under the understanding that the 4 stay rule was removed some time back. They just say now that it will be valid for a year.
 
Just wondering how long it took between the claim to receiving the card or when the status was visible on the HHonors site?
 
A query - is it better to wait until early 2015 to activate my HH Diamond offer? I just qualified for VFF WP and have tried to clarify the best time to activate the HH Diamond option to get the longest on the program - my reading is if I activate now I get until early 2016 but if I wait until January 2015 will I get status until after the end of 2016 (ie the remainder of 2015 and the calendar year after - 2016)?

Yes that's correct. If taken now will expire end March 2016, if taken Jan onwards 2015 will expire end March 2017
 
Is the Diamond offer a one time thing, or given so long as I hold Virgin Platinum status?
