But Jurors are treated differently.
 
I was called up once about 35 years ago but was exempt from service as a military officer. I just wrote in and was excused. Did not even have to attend. And even though I left the military a long time ago, I have never been called up for jury duty again so far.

I was on a jury in an (alleged) assault case years ago.

The trial only lasted a couple of days. He was found not guilty.

The whole process was interesting but as a former law student, even I wouldn't like to be called up for a graphic case.
