Jury Duty and planned travel

I have been called up for Jury Duty 3 times since February, got out of all three as had travel bookings that predated the notice. I provided copies of bookings with my request to be excused. The 2nd time, I was overseas at the time and sent a copy of my ticket and had a letter upon return of confirmation of being excused. I am in NSW, the travel ranged from interstate and overseas each time. For the first and last call up, I did go into the court and provide the details in person.

Even when your place of employment is Queenland?

No way I am cancelling existing bookings and taking time off work just in a case I am required for jury duty.

But I am 49 and have never been called up for jury duty so they must have an idea I have already made my decision on the trial.

Of course...they're guilty
