With so many B788s out of action, JQ4 hasn't flown for a week now. Does anyone know if/how pax are returning from HNL over the last week?

My partner I were booked on JQ3 last Saturday which was cancelled Friday night. (Our plans had changed and I'd written the cost of the ticket off in my mind, so I suspect we were in a very tiny cohort of people who were pleased to see the flight cancelled as it meant we got a full refund after all.)

Before acquiescing to the refund, Jetstar first tried to offer two alternatives for the Sunday morning that weren't part of their normal schedule. My assumption is - if those actually flew, but I can't confirm as I didn't pay attention thereafter - that those flights would have then flown back as special flights with different flight numbers to bring people already affected and stuck in HNL.

QF103/104 is still operating (A330-300 aircraft) six days a week.
When my flight was cancelled last Friday night, I got the notification from TripCase before Jetstar contacted me, and checked Google Flights within about 10 minutes. Both HA and QF were sold out the rest of the weekend.

If I'd really needed to get there and not ruin my holiday, the only real option would have been a detour via SFO.

Looks like JQ1/2 (MEL-HNL) has still been operating.

I suspect a lot of people have been rebooked via MEL or onto Qantas.
