Hi per thread title. If you are on a Jetstar flight and it is cancelled, does your QFF status assist you in getting earlier flights?

For example, I know of a flight cancelled today somebody (party of two) in my family was travelling on that was cancelled (6.45pm) and got bumped to 8.30pm tomorrow (there was one flight later tonight and at least half a dozen prior to the 8.30pm flight). They are both QFF members but Red in status. Got me thinking if one was Platinum or Gold would it have assisted in any way like it would if on a Qantas booked flight.

Unlikely.

Was the flight in or out of SYD? Weather has completely stuffed up flights, lots of cancellations so possible there isn't a seat available earlier.

I assume you are talking about MEL-BNE tonight. I wonder if they offer seats to OOL or MCY as there are seats morning.

I’d say the only status coming close would be CL and you have need to get it sorted in that lounge as JQ front line wouldn’t give two hoots. I’ve heard stories of people in these exclusive clubs and how far the staff go for these pax. It’s a whole new world of 5 star treatment.

Yes it was the MEL-BNE 6.45 flight. I think being a party of two wouldn't have helped getting an earlier flight.
