Joining Aeroplan

I've been trying to join Aeroplan and keep getting this error message. Not on a VPN - made sure proxy is off and tried on multiple browsers. Anybody else have this issue?

Yes, me too, trying to sign up today and get various error messages. I wonder if it's the Australian address that makes it think there's a VPN? So I wonder if using a VPN to make it think we're in Canada would work?

FWIW when I joined early last year I used my Australian address with no issues.

So today because they are having a bonus point sale I thought I'd try and join again - use Microsoft Edge and allowed them to use my location and joined easily. Now to decide if to buy points or not

We've got another trip planned to the US later this year so I was just looking as well.

I couldn't find decent value on seats.aero using Aeroplan from eastern Australia to North America - points seem too high at the moment for premium seats. Velocity and even QF seem to have better premium availability (we're happy with Premium Economy or better). So I'm holding off on this particular bonus offer for now but might dip in if I need some points for internal US flights.
