From the SMH

Jetstar has launched an investigation after a metal clamp was accidentally left attached to an engine during a flight from Melbourne to Maroochydore .

The blunder was only spotted after a worker on the Maroochydore airport tarmac noticed the clamp protruding from the left engine cowling minutes before the A320 was due to take off for its return leg to Melbourne on Saturday afternoon.
