Off to Japan on the 14th June with JQ, upgraded to *class last time in Feb 09. Like to know if anybody aware if JQ still offers the upgrade for $250? Was lucky and got pts as well. Understand that it is a bit of a hit and miss. :p
Thanks!

Depends on loads, if it light yes they still offer it. But flights around that time seem rather busy at the moment (Probably due to aggressive sales and dropping a few services)

There was a recent report here that the upgrade price has gone up substantially, and that upgrades ex-Japan are no longer available (allegedly due to a Government regulation?).

I will try to get some info friday, i have a Japanese speaking Australian girl coming back to Oz for a wedding i am going to and she last came back Christmas and scored the upgrades at the old price. She will be asking again so lets see what happens. Maybe she will be stuck anyway since as i pointed out in my first reply in the dates in June that have been booked and looked at booking loads seem ok, whY is 100% sold out on some flights and also *C as well on some.

Upgrades have gone up. $500 OOL-NRT or KIX. No upgrades ex Japan since April due to "govt regulation" (or so we were told).

Cheers
