Will be interesting if any others move to T4 now that there’s lots of spare capacity

I like how the email informing me of this change of terminal starts "A reminder that from 21 January 2026, all Jetstar flights will arrive and depart from Terminal 2 (T2) at Singapore’s Changi Airport." How can you remind someone of something which I understand hasn't been announced until now?

The other thing is that you can head over to QF lounges again without it being a massive trek over to T4.

Can anyone more familiar with Changi tell me roughly how long it would take to get from the QF Business Lounge to a JQ flight departing T2?

Depends on where in T2! If it's E28 could be as little as 4-5 mins, which is closer than most of the D gates in T1. On the other hand if it's at the far end of T2, such as F37 or F60, you could be looking at 15 mins or longer depending on how quick you walk.

T2 is a long Terminal with all the E and F Gates. If walking, it could be as little at 5-10 mins to the high E Gates (E28) to around 25 mins to F60. I once walked from F60 to A21 - took about 45 mins.

Snap!! I guess I walk slower.

This image from the Changi website (which is interactive on the page) is quite handy for quick internal estimates. The QF J Lounge is near where it refers to Transfer C, up on Level 3, and the QF F Lounge is closer to Transfer D on the same level.

This is where it's from if you want to check other spots:

Curiously that map is missing the skytrain between T1 & T2 which runs at three minute(IIRC) intervals, which can make it slightly quicker, particularly if you reach the train just before it departs.

The walking times are "average" too, fast walkers can do it much quicker, I know I get from SQ lounges near A1-8 to B10 in about 10-12 mins, not the 20 suggested, whilst others may take longer than 20 mins.

And for WP's, it will be a few mins closer from the F lounge.

Yes - far from perfect, but the only one I’d seen that had the timing for doing it on foot (albeit slowly) between areas. If you follow the link it has all the detail interactively on where everything is, including the Skytrains, but yes; odd they don’t show T1<>T2, or the approx journey times for those

Singapore Airport Map
On an early trip, before T4 existed, before I had any sort of lounge access, I walked the entirety of the T1/2/3 building airside. From the T1 departure immigration through the D gates, into T2, down to F60, back up to D49, over to C19, then down to A21 and back into T1. Checking out the airport "oddities" (like the movie theater) as I went.

Took about 90 mins total.

Wasn't JQ/3K in T1 before they were moved to T4? Why couldn't they get back into T1 with only a few JQ flights/week?
I've never seen what the departure side of T4 is like. Only ever been in T4 for arrivals (CX and once on 3K) and getting the transfer bus over to T1.

Yep. Took me about 20min between the Qatar lounge (further towards T3 versus QF J) to a mid-F gate using the SkyTrain that I just missed, so +3 min.

Definitely worth taking the SkyTrain imho.
