Hi everyone,

In June 2007 i booked a flight from Jakarta to Singapore. At the 24th of July i canceled our flight and booked another one instead (with jetstar).
From that date there were several people at customer service who promised us we would get a fast payback. We've called at least five times.
Last call to Australia (from Holland so we speak of a very long distance call!) was made in december, then customer service promised our money would be booked back in January 2008.
In the meantime it's allready February and we're still waiting. This is about 714 USD and we're already waiting for six months!

I just sended a letter to them with my complaints, but is there anything more i can do? Is there like a institute where you can complain about companies in Australia? Just in case they won't answer me...
Any advise? Thanks in advance.

There is, but they do not have jurisdiction to deal with your issue. If your original fare was on Valuair, then it was sold to your by a Singaporean company, presumably in Indonesia. Therefore Indonesian or Singaporean consumer affairs type government departments would be appropriate avenues, not Australian.

Thus - ensure all correspondence is directed to Jetstar in Singapore, for expeditious results. http://www.jetstar.com/sg/en/contact-us.aspx

Have you lodged a disputed transaction report with the CC company :?:
It may be a little too late to dispute the transaction with the credit card provider considering the original booking was in June 2007.
