Jetstar flies into storm over curfew

As much as I don't like it, perhaps people should stop thinking about flying to SYD and fly from MEL instead.

That is probably at odds with most airlines' marketing strategies, but something has got to stick it to this stupid curfew.

But what if they need to get from MEL to SYD?:p

most people once landing in melbourne and upon seeing the stupidity of wanting to travel to Sydney, would then ask why they even considered going to Sydney a need! ;)

Mr!

There's plenty of fares to do that. But in any case, overseas visitors wouldn't know any better. They'll have a good time in MEL as much as SYD, and if SYD doesn't like that, well then....deal with it.

Although I will say that MEL T2 looks a bit bland for greeting our international guests..... ;)

*watches the comment whizz over everyones heads* :!:

I was referring to people who live in MEL and need to get to SYD for work, or something similar ;)

Precisely. You can still fly from MEL-SYD or what not, or why not save some $$$ and telecommunicate. (Unless you are an AFFer or FTer :p) I'm not saying stop flying to SYD altogether and especially not suggesting can all domestic flights to/from SYD.

I was more referring to international traffic. When some international airline decides to fly to our great nation, the first location that seems to come to mind is SYD. I say we stick it to SYD and go MEL (or BNE :!: - damn canned expansion) instead.
