I'll be flying to the Gold Coast on Dec 29 and have the choice of Exit Row seating. I assume the aircraft will be the A321?

Does anyone know whether the Exit Rows are worthwhile on this flight? I'll probably be doing the JetFlex fare (extra $60) to get SCs and points.

The Exit Rows available are 1, 12, 13.

In the absence of a Seat Guru review I'm open to opinions of where to seat before I actually book it.

Seeing as I had the opportunity to try this route out earlier this year I can report that an exit row would probably be a very good choice, as it was tight in the row I was in, knees pressed up against the seat in front.

From my observations, row 1 ABC looks pretty good, as long as you don't get there first, as then everyone walks past you on the way in and you get the grumpy stares. On the other side, there's something obstructing full stretching of your legs, but still more space than the row behind.

Further back, 12 and 13 are just your standard exit rows. Probably about the same as 1 DEF?

If you fly back from OOL, make sure you try the Gold Coast lounge, it really is a very nice spot.

Avoid 1A as the fuselage curves in at your head and shoulders and can give a somewhat claustrophobic feeling.

Thanks you both for that. I might get there early just to get the grumpy stares!

Avoid row 12 - the seats don't recline. Row 13 is really quite comfortable for a Y seat.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
