Jetstar Boeing 787 refurbishment adding more Business Class seats

The Streaming-Plus plan (A$25) seems reasonable given you could easily chew up GBs streaming video (and a lot cheaper than what Scoot offers US$32-55 for 1GB)

But I think the Social Plus plan (A$20) is somewhat overpriced, even though some social apps like FB and Insta so have video content.

(Note the comment that prices subject to change and may also vary by route)

Refit of the remaining 10 aircraft to continue until late 2027, so roughly 6wks per aircraft (consistent with this first one).

You can see the cabin video in the below video. Those Y seats are not great, so it’s the same Recaro seat as the Neo with a headrest (essentially the Bonza seat). Las Vegas returning westbound wouldn’t be great, gives me nightmares just thinking about it!

I think the cloth like QF seat would have been more comfortable, i find these JQ leather Recaro seats rock hard.

Cloth like = harder to clean with how slobby some people are hence why the leather.

Anyone seen any reports of what they are doing to the passengers who were sitting in the Y seats that are now J seats?
 
Was due to take the refurb plane to Singapore tomorrow and it got rudely switched to an old plane. Time to re-do my tickets haha (I believe the new plane flew to changi today instead)
 
Almost 3wks since VKK flew back from HKG and we haven't seen another aircraft depart for refurb.

Schedule has some slack in it for the next 6 weeks so seems probable one might go soon, but remains to be seen with the first one blowing out in time, if the entire project has now been disrupted due to what appears to be overly ambitious original timeframes, not to mention the complexity of the actual work being done over and above the D check.
