Damn just did a 100% paid status run to retain my silver status when I could have probably done a JASA run and got gold. Can anyone explain exactly how JASA runs work?

Many thanks for your help. Never thought that ASA's were good value but now it looks like I'll be using them all the time.

Beware that from 7 July the cheap JASA fares will dry up as the everyone can upgrade from Y using their points.

Each upgrade takes away a cheap JASA fare for that flight.

See my post (approx) #52 in the earlier thread on Qantas Fare structure and upgrade "enhancements".

I dont think that will be the case, in the last few months there has been promotions where upgradability has been offered on all fares for a short period of time and there was no impact on the availability of the good JASAs, they are good value because they are unpopular, in in particular costs the same to upgrade as it does to buy as a JASA ;)

Anyone who would (from July 7) buy a red e-deal and upgrade it immediately (as opposed to ODU) would probably (before July 7) have bought a JASA anyway.
