Japanese tax free goods (purchased on the high street) have the purchase receipts stuck onto the passport. Do I need to show the goods when they inspect the receipt?
Was hoping to put them in checked luggage

When you goto a "tourist refund" ares of a shopping centre, they will check your items and provide an offical "passport receipt".

We were in Okinawa.

Airport wouldn't look, as the legal stuff occured pre airport.

Nothing for us.

You will official passport receipts when you claim the tax back (not at the airport).

pictures wont upload, being too karge in size.

When we purchased there was no tax charged. All goods purchased on high street tax free.

Do I have to show I’m taking goods out of country by carrying it in carryon? Or is checked luggage OK?
