Hello all.
I am trying to book a flight to Osaka for late December this year. However, after I choose my flights and go to "Choose my seats". I am told that my request cannot be processed at this time and to try again. Does anyone know why this is? I am thinking it's because Japan hasn't officially opened it's borders to tourists yet, perhaps? Thanks.

Usually means that flight is operated by a partner with codeshare? If you then go to their website and manage the booking (with the same details), you'll be able to do it.

Thanks for the reply, SCM. However, all the flights are SA planes. Pre covid I flew this route annually, always on Singapore. Hopefully Japan will announce changes to its borders for tourists soon, and then the flights will become available? Anyway, I will keep trying.

You sure your booking is ticketed? I just booked and paid mine (going 20/12 - 3/1) and I just picked my seats for my wife and I.
