Japan Nov 2025 - Autumn Trip Suggestions

5 min from Nagoya Station will probably be very expensive on parking, if you don't have parking included at your accommodation.

If you have a car, I'd recommend staying a bit further away from Nagoya station. I'm a bit biased as I used to live there, but the eastern side of the city (around Imaike, or even further east) is still well connected to Nagoya/Fushimi/Sakae (max 10 min on train) but a bit more car friendly. Also, if you'll be going to Ghibli Park or the Toyota Museum, you're already half way there.

Anyone have comments on the possible areas we are looking at staying, a reminder we will have a car for day trips or utilise train if easier. So we need car parking.

Nagoya - Nakaumra Ward (5min from station)
I stayed in that area recently. There is some construction work going on around the station on that side, currently a bit of a maze in some places with reduced road access close to the station. (some roads closed for pedestrian access as paths closed off for building works)

Not much parking in that area. Mostly parking lots for shopping centers near the station and limited, no more then 10, spaces at hotels for guests.
