JAL in talks to resume BNE services

And fly it with the 787 as well. Thanks.

For about 20 years JAL used to fly in a 747 to Brisbane, markets change but I think the service can sustain a 787.

I sure hope so too, though preferably without the watered down version of Jalways crew & catering.

You would get some mainline staff on the BNE run as they liked a stopover in QLD.I was only doctor on board a flight NRT-JFK when they had a medical emergency. Two years later I boarded the Jalways 747 NRT-BNE and the purser was the same one as on the JFK flight.Greeted me warmly as I boarded and gave me the choice of any seat in J.Had a couple of long chats with him about the subject of crews to BNE.

This is the ideal route for the 787 - perfect fit, but if it does perform really well, the 777 would fit well. Hope it happens for everyone in BNE.

If a 787 doesn't fit, how would a 777 fit? Personally though, I would think that one of the newer 763s would work well for this route. They only have 7 (grounded) 787s at the moment, and they can be used to go to where a 763 can't. Having said that, they were flying 787s to SIN at least once a day before the grounding.

The last time we flew JAL BNE-NRT it was on a 763.No problems apart from the 2 go rounds as we tried landing in a typhoon.

Oh,Yes please !
Our family is sick of the drive to OOL for our departures/arrivals, and family that come over from Japan on a regular basis. Have tried MCY/SYD/NRT return, and it is probably the easiest of our three choices, the other being BNE/CNS/NRT on JQ.

Would be nice if it was on the 787, but the B763 ER is a nice product, and would be interesting if they added a Y+ section as they have on their newer craft, make them equal to JQ's Star Class. Jal also use to fly via CNS both ways, which added more revenue than the direct flight, leaving BNE at 9.00a.m. and arriving at NRT 5.45 p.m. Japan time.

Cheers,
Dee.

Of course Dee the upgrade at MCY will have it able to handle 787s so i would not complain if JAL wanted to fly MCY-NRT.;):p:lol::shock:

And our dear friends at Air Kiwi when they get their 787's; drron, I don't think I will see the East/West strip in my life-time, it's been going to happen since the early eighties when Eddie DeVere was Shire Boss.

Cheers,
Dee.
