Just incase any of you were looking at ticketing a JAL fare anytime soon, they're reducing their fuel surcharge as of 1 Jan, which for those travelling ex Australia. it will shave US$208 off the taxes.

Nice, now the +++ should just about equal the fare instead of being more than it  ok not really funny but $208 USD is a fair reduction !

It's a fairly nice reduction, especially given where the dollar is sitting at the moment, but I agree, their taxes are still a disgrace.

Nice. Is the fuel surcharge reduction around 25%?

Maybe even a little more than that, i had a route this year that was SIN-KIX (Had no time to stop in HKG and fly CX) That USD $208 would make up about 35% of the +++'s
