It is just not black and white like other airline sites.
Japanese people travel light domestically I guessSeems light doesn't it, its 20kg in a bag on those small cessna's i fly in africa.
I'm already here so, will just go grab another bag.Japanese people travel light domestically I guess. ANA's allowance is the same.
Remember if you book JAL Explorer Pass you'll get more allowance (but it'll be piece-based). Worth considering if you need to carry more luggage.
To clarify; this was booked separately from your international flight AND you have no OneWorld status?Help! Hi, I have booked a domestic flight from Fukuoka to Haneda on JAL.
Thanks Encryptededdy, Yes it is a separate flight. I have one world Ruby, no value here. I have however done further research and because it is a points flight booked from the Qantas web site it is considered an international flight according to the JAL representative I spoke to. Therefore they honor the International baggage rules so I can have up to 32K & only pay 5,500yen for oversize plus 1,100 yen for overweight. Anything over 32-45Kg is priced at 16,500yen + oversize. To clarify; this was booked separately from your international flight AND you have no OneWorld status?
Have you tried booking into domestic first? It may be cheaper than 30,000 yen and gives you 45kg.
