Does anyone know what the JAL baggage allowance is for domestic business class and being a one world emerald?

As in Class J? Same as economy, so 20kg + 20kg (oneworld emerald) = 40kg (weight concept).

Note this only applies if booked through JAL as a standalone domestic flight. Domestic flights as part of international bookings and JAL Explorer Pass flights use their international baggage rules (piece concept).

Seems light doesn't it, its 20kg in a bag on those small cessna's i fly in africa.
Japanese people travel light domestically I guess 🤷. ANA's allowance is the same.

Remember if you book JAL Explorer Pass you'll get more allowance (but it'll be piece-based). Worth considering if you need to carry more luggage.

I'm already here so, will just go grab another bag.

Does anybody know/can confirm the actual allowance for a domestic flight in Y booked as a QF award?

Is it piece concept or weight?

The JAL website (and most other sources) seem to indicate it is 20kg, however in Manage by Booking on the QF website it says 2x pieces of luggage (presumably 23kgs).

Confirmed with JAL.

Y class QF reward bookings for domestic JAL flights follow international baggage rules.

So 2x23kg per passenger for Y.

Help! Hi, I have booked a domestic flight from Fukuoka to Haneda on JAL. As we have come from international with a limit of 32Kg, what is the best way for me to adhere to JAL baggage rules? my suitcase alone is oversized even if I get another suitcase to split the weight.
I thought I saw an option to purchase overweight at reasonable cost 1900 yen to increase to 32-45kg (440y/kg) but can't find where I read it.
Is there any option to increase baggage allowance for one bag to 32Kg before the flight?
The option I have been given is pay at the airport 30,000yen.

Additional info, this is a QFF rewards ticket. The JAL person said it is considered an International ticket even though it is a domestic flight. should this make a difference?

To clarify; this was booked separately from your international flight AND you have no OneWorld status?

Have you tried booking into domestic first? It may be cheaper than 30,000 yen and gives you 45kg.
