Hi everyone!

I'm planning a trip to Japan as was looking at flights with JAL and was a bit confused about baggage allowance with codeshare flights. The details flight details are:

Perth to KL - JL7980 Operated by Malaysia Airlines
KL to Narita - JL724

Narita to KL - JL723
KL - Perth - JL7981 Operated by Malaysia Airlines

JAL allows 2x23kg while Malaysia only allows 30kg max.
Does the JAL allowance apply to the Malaysia Airlines flight too? Also, will my baggage be transferred between flights or will I have to collect it and re-check-in at KL?

Thanks in advanced :)

Welcome, tezza1991.

Under the most significant carrier rules (explained quite well here on the CX website), I think you should have the MH allowance on the way to NRT and the JL allowance to Perth (assuming you're transiting and not stopping in KUL).
