I read a recent article on Milevalue.com about the great J availability for SYD-DOH on QR. The example quoted up to 4 seats on flights in March. My search on QFF showed precisely nothing. However using awardnexus (searching via BA) revealed 2 or more seats on each day March7-10 and some more via PER. I have seen previous comments about these J awards not showing up on QFF and wonder if this is the case or am I being ignored because of my lowly status?

Many OW airlines don't show availability on QFs site. Best to call.

Check using BA.com and then if available call QF if can't see online.

Thanks, moa999 and Zainman. I agree this is the way to go as awardnexus can be directed to search for awards shown on BA. The mystery is that Y awards on QR show up on QFF but J awards are selectively absent. I'm interested in this route because it allows travel to IST and ATH without the need to travel all the way to LHR and return (and it saves a few points).

Are EK awards not available on the dates? They fly to IST and ATH too

Yes EK availability is quite good. However I may be using AA miles so EK will not be available to me.

Thread was posted in the QFF section so I assumed you would use QFF.

You can try EY if you will use AAdvantage.
