I know the minimum is 1000. Any ideas why I got 3000?

QF put a few promos on for PMQ since they all of a sudden got some competition, one was 3K points from memory.

Yep,

There was a post here in the last couple of days showing Qantas were offering 3000 points for these flights due to the new competion being offered by Virgin.
