Does anybody know of websites or programs (preferably free ones) that will allow you to build your itinerary including flights hotels and sightseeing options?

We're planning a trip to the US for 3 weeks in late October and would find this software handy in finalising what cities we're going to visit.

Also, can anybody recommend a website for travel blogs or a program that will allow you to upload your photos and travel diary to so you have a permanent memory of your holiday?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, there's a rather good one that I've recently gotten in to using - TripIt | Online travel itinerary and trip planner. All you need to do is forward all of your ticket and reservation confirmation e-mails in, TripIt handles everything else for you.

For bonus points, you can also set up a calendar feed that will push all of your booking details in to iCal, iPhones etc. Saves me a stack of time entering the details in to iCal by hand when I book something. :)

I've just started playing with Worldmate (www.worldmate.com) which builds your itinerary as you send the confirmations to it. so far, it looks good, and its free, but you can upgrade and pay for online updates, flight changes etc. It also downloads to your mobile phone so you can keep all the info there as well.
I'm going to the US in 3 weeks to SFO, ROC, Niagara Falls and more, and I've got all my flights, hire cars and accomodation loaded up and it has produced a great 2 page itinerary which reminded me that I missed a night of accomodation on the way back.
Check it out, and I'd be curious to see what others think of it.

My daughter (and family) are using worldmate for a trip next month. I have used TripIt previously and plan to use it for my upcoming trip, which is similar to my daughter's, so I'll be interested to compare.

Worldmate looks alright. I don't like the picture on the iphone app store that shows the customary tip in Australia as being 10% Since when.

Also the only reviews say that it doesn't allow building manual itineraries. I'm not sure that I feel exactly comfortable my sending person information to an unknown company.
