Now I know why it takes so long for my bag to be unloaded

We had one of our bags opened up and things removed leaving Milan , I wondered why so many passengers were having their bags wrapped.

And here everyone is thinking JNB is the dangerous place??? :)

But yes i never pack anything of value in my bags usually, apart from some alcohol...

But i have found the leaflet in there a couple of times saying the TSA had had a rummage through it...

I don't even bother locking my checked luggage these days (not least because I keep losing the locks )

But I don't pack anything in there that I cannot afford to lose. If my checked bag or any of its contents goes missing then it is a pain but one I can handle.

Italy is actually the only place so far That someone in my traveling party has had their luggage tampered with and something stolen...

On a Rome flight...

Longest wait in air travel is collecting baggage at FCO (Rome). Last time I flew in it took 90 minutes

Flights aside, I heard recently of an additional major theft in Rome of a whole coach inclusive of recently purchased authentic branded goods, surprisingly.. whilst the coach captain was on his 'dinner break".
It was found (the coach) nearby the very next day.. sans the recently purchased items of value.
Not to make any pre-judgement, though the whole incident does appear a little strange.
