I am looking at booking a J classic award for next year. BNE/LIS.

My favourite flight for this is via MEL on QF to LHR then BA to LIS.

QF lands at 13:40 terminal 3, BA leaves at 15:25 from terminal 1.

I understand that my luggage will be checked through from BNE to LIS and all flights will be on the same PRN. But 1 hour 45 mins does seem a bit tight for this connection. Has anyone had any experience with this?

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Min Connection Time is listed as 90mins. Heathrow: Terminal 3 International Connecting to Terminal 5 Domestic

On the same PRN you are "protected" sot the airline is obliged to arrange onward travel for you - how many other flights (on BA) that day are there to LIS and what is the "worst case" of being stuck overnight in London and how important is that day arrival in LIS? ie. what's the downside to a "worst case scenario" (miss flight, no other seats until following day(s) etc)

BA are usually pretty good in the event of delays.

If it wasnt on one PNR I wouldnt even think about it.

Thanks docjames. Very informative and helpful reply

The BA flight to LIS goes from Terminal 1, so using the link you provided I can see that min connection time is 75mins so that is a bit better. Will have to make a decision whether to risk it or not. It will all depend on what is available to book on the day we wish to fly.
