Is there ever QF61 QF62 Award Availability? Seems like those flights never appear in an awards search on Qantas,

I've seen availability on QF62 recently but not QF80 at all...

I thought the thread title was QF61/QF62 availability, whichever route they cover, how does QF80 get a mention?

QF80 may offer alternative connections via MEL...

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Is there ever? I just tried searching in Nov and there was Y and some J availability. This is as a P1.

AU-JP is one of those routes that is getting hard to come by. I am also P1 and have been able to get x2 J rewards over the past few years on QF61/26, 25/62, 25/26, 79/80, 61/80, 79/26 and more recently QF80 xHND but this will not happen now. From memory most seats had to be requested and sent via then SST for an additional request and/or approval.

I've just checked again as a bronze and there's also Y and fair bit of J availability midweek Aug, Sep, Oct. So don't think it's a status issue.

Given QFi shutdown I'd take things with a grain of salt but maybe OP is looking at peak and/or very close dates?

I was looking for a flight in Feb. Ski season so I guess I'm just too slow. I can see a couple of options late this year as well which answers my original question. I just found it odd that I couldn't spot the flight at all when I searched.
