Is there any credit card giving VA gold status

I want to apply a velocity credit card. Any suggestions? And if any can give Velocity gold status? Or how can I match a VA gold with UA

No credit card gives Velocity Gold status that I am aware of.

There have been various promotions to earn Gold more quickly. But no way to automatically match to UA.

Does VA has better redeemption rate than SQ itself?

It's all relative, the redemption rate will vary but what is good value to you may not be to someone else

With the current 40% bonus anyone who has enough Amex points can transfer to Velocity and then from Velocity to Kris Flyer at the same rate as Amex to Velocity direct. If you hold a Platinum Charge card you can pick Velocity Platinum or Gold status in the process.

Currently from your credit card to Velocity can earn "up to" 40% but most would earn 20% at best.
Velocity points to KF points convert at a lower rate (0.85?) but some card points convert directly to KF at a better rate I think. Someone else will know more than I do.

The 40% bonus applies once the transfer has been received by Velocity. Also remember the transfer bonus is tiered with the 40% only kicking in if you transfer 750,001+ points. If this comes from an Amex Platinum Charge, with the offer, this would get you Velocity Platinum too.

Lesser transfers get lesser bonus points as per the tiered structure of the offer.
