Is there a different between SilverKris Lounge and SilverKris Gold Lounge in S'pore?

Will be flying SQ with my partner to BKK via SIN. As he is hold a VFF gold, we are thinking of going into SilverKris Gold Lounge during the transit. I am thinking of showering before our flight back to SYD but I notice there is no shower facilities in that lounge. Any idea if we are able to enter the SilverKris Lounge instead as there are shower facilities using the VFF gold ? Thanks heaps

For departures ex Singapore, you can use the KrisFlyer Gold lounge (as you have already figured out). This is the lounge for economy class passengers, with status, departing SQ.

To access the KrisFlyer Lounge you'll need to be in business class.

are you flying through on a paid fare? If so you should get changi $$ which you might be able to use for a shower?

Yes on paid fare (all upgrade Biz seats all taken so no luck). Are you referring to the $40 thingy? If not we will just use the Priority Pass to other lounge.

yeah - the $40 thing. 2 vouchers each for $20 - one gets free lounge access (with showers supposedly):

The S$40 CDV will be distributed as two S$20 CDVs. One of the $20 CDVs is valid for one-time use at all retail, food and service outlets located at the transit and public areas excluding outlets indicated in the Exclusion List. It can also be redeemed for one-time access to Ambassador Lounge at Terminals 2 and 3 for up to two hours. Lounge usage includes showers with basic toiletries, light refreshments, free flow international reading materials, as well as complimentary Wi-Fi.
The second S$20 CDV is valid for a one-time use to redeem Liquor, Tobacco, Perfumes or Cosmetics purchases only.

Info on shower here. $17 (SGD) in T3 but as you will depart from T2 it is cheaper there ( $8.50).

If you are also returning on SQ, make sure you use the Silver Kris Lounge in BKK, that VA gold members can I access, I believe (not sure re: guesting privileges). Great little outstation lounge, can have coughtails made, coconuts available, nice ice cream and good selection of food.

OP needs to be on a paid SQ ticket, though. I was not eligible/knocked back recently, on a VA codeshare ticket MEL to PNH. Out of MEL on SQ metal, and transferring onto MI. ( got my VA Plat re-qualify squiggles, though... just!)
