Is the direct Qantas Paris Flight going the distance?

I've been lucky enough to not need to fork out personal cash for long haul J/F, but I feel like I'm in the opposite camp - if I'm flying an expensive J ticket I'd rather fly the best product I can buy rather than one that contributes to status!
I think that’s the conundrum! There isn’t really a single ‘best’ business class. They all have their pros and cons. So the tipping point is probably getting status thrown in!

At the bottom end of the market perhaps it isn’t important… you’re getting a flat bed as cheaply as possible. But at the higher price point, not sure there’s a clear winner!

One thing that is often overlooked as part of the product offering is schedule. We dissect the seats and service product to the nth degree but schedule is also part of the product offer, and probably for higher value paid customers is just as important as anything else.

For example, I usually commence my journey to Europe from Singapore (which is where I live). If travelling in J I have no interest in transiting the ME in the middle of the night (or even breaking the journey during a daytime flight) I prefer doing one long sector. Hence a preference of SQ or the various European carriers. That is of course my preference others will differ but product, IMHO, includes schedule and frequency in addition to hard and soft product.
