Is it just me? For the last few days I've been logging into the BA website and trying to search for award availability (via spending avios and reward booking link). I always get the same error:

"Unfortunately our systems are not responding, so we are unable to process your request at the moment.
We apologise for this inconvenience and suggest you try again later."

Everything else on the website is fine - paid flight search etc, just can't search for any award flights

I sometimes get that. I immediately start the process again (maybe even a couple of times) and it eventually works. YMMV.

Well I feel somewhat sheepish - I created the BA account a loooonnnnggg time ago. Whenever I logged in there was a prompt to upgrade the account to Executive Club membership, which I always skipped.

Finally today I upgraded the account - now everything is working.

Very strange, but I'm not complaining anymore.
