Is Qantas walking away from Emirates partnership?

Interestingly you can use your Qantas PNR on the Emirates website and it will bring up your booking and allow you to select your seats. This despite Qantas and Emirates using different systems.

In fairness up until recently even in MMB it has said go to Emirates. But a change maybe about 4 weeks ago allows you to choose your seats on Emirates through the Qantas website. Except it doesn’t actually work! Best thing use qantas PNR on EK website.
