IMO, the only thing it has added is smoother connections to destinations in Africa and the Middle East. Stopping through Dubai is a right royal pain in the backside. I am flying to the UK next month and using Qatar Airways with a Doha stopover instead. Fingers crossed it's at least easier to navigate.
