Is it wrong that Jetstar catering is better than QANTAS offering

Recently flew BNE-ADL on JQ and returned QANTAS, both booked through QANTAS in Y. Jetstar offered a full selection to value of $15, sandwich, pie, cheeses etc, QANTAS dinner service was a muffin. Surely QANTAS can lift its game even if it is a prepackaged boxed meal (which is what it has been for the last 15 years).

I imagine one airline sees catering as an opportunity to control costs, while the other airline see catering as an opportunity to make profits.
Though 2 months ago JQ was a muffin for $6 and a cup of water. On Tuesday normal catering for JQ.They have lifted thir game.
I do suspect though someone at QF would rather see JQ back to full services well before QF.

For us here wanting to fly out of MCY JQ is starting a daily MCY-SYD service on 16/11.
Goes to twice daily in December and 3 times in May 21.

On the QF web page only the JQ flights offered until the end of August 21 and nothing at all from September on.

And suddenly your QF flight hit turbulence, and you awoke from your nightmare. 😀
