Hi All,

I need some advice from the brains trust on this forum.

I, like many on here, have hundreds of thousands of points sitting with velocity. With the current COVID-19 situation and virgins financial position I’m concerned that if the airline was declare bankruptcy points may disappear..

What’s the likelihood of this happening and should I withdraw my points by purchasing gift cards to get some cash value at what I have..?

am I making a mountain out of a mole hill.. or is there a real threat to my velocity points been wiped out..?

The order was about 334k points Inc postage

If I recall $800 price at 0.67c
So about 119000 points for the penfolds
wowsor! what year? I always thought grange was close to $500 a bottle, so i presume this is an older vintage. enjoy!

Still have 2 more items yet to arrive: 11/4 JB, 3/4: Airfryer

Just received a Rebel Sport gift card ordered 6 April.

The envelope was ripped open on both sides but the card was still inside.

Can anyone who ordered a gift card advise what was in their envelope? TIA

Gift card + a card that basically says thanks for redeeming or something like that.

iPad delivered to FNQ today by TNT Overnight Express, ordered 15-Apr, ship date 30-Apr from Eastern Creek, NSW. Awaiting two more deliveries ordered same date. Kept each item in separate orders.

Received my order placed on 16/04 today. But released under panic I ordered an iPhone 11 Pro but what I wanted is an iPhone 11 Pro max. Does anyone know what I can do? How stupid am I ?!

Can't do much, sell it on ebay/gumtree and then buy another one outright.

You can try contacting Velocity and ask your options, but I don’t like your chances.

I assume it’s more expensive and you have sufficient points if they agree to do something.

Hi all. Good news. Just received my iPad / iPhone ordered on the 14th. TNT courier. No other paperwork with it. Still have GC’s to come and other items but happy to get something so orders are being honoured/processed. 👍👍👍😎

AusPost announced recently that certain types of mail products are now suspended such as 'Priority mail'

Which is why they should be sending registered post.... but you know, probably faster not to. And cheaper.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM AUSTRALIA POST

We are currently experiencing delivery delays due to a high volume of parcels in our network.

21 April 2020

As Australians adapt to living under COVID-19 restrictions, Australia Post has been optimising our business to manage the significant disruption and unprecedented parcel volumes being sent across the country.

The Federal Government announced it will soon move to implement temporary changes to delivery standards for our business to continue to service the broader needs of the community as quickly as possible.

The temporary relief includes:
  • removing the Priority Mail letter product
  • adjusting the existing service standards on other letters, meaning Australia Post will deliver letters in metropolitan areas every second day
  • extending the required delivery time for regular intrastate letters to five days after the day of posting
Delivery frequency in regional, rural and remote Australia will not change, in recognition that Australia Post is often the only operator in these areas.

Post Offices will also continue to remain open, in-line with health and safety guidelines to protect our people and customers.

We will be working through the details of what the temporary relief will mean for our business and will update Post Offices and our information page over the coming days.

what would happen to one of these gift card orders if they were sent but never arrived, since theyre not registerd post

Can't answer that but one I applied for on 6 April 2020 arrived at my home today (1 May 2020). Standard DL envelope, delivered by my friendly postie but it was just a gift card.

So at least some are still being processed, although maybe only up to 11 or 12 April 2020 receipt date by COLGROUP. Latter's mailing address is PO Box 602 Eastern Suburbs MC NSW 2004. A sticker suggests it was processed on 20 April 2020.

One other oddity was that the back of the gift card, near the covered PIn, had the amount and date of issue handwritten with a Black felt tip pen. I've neverpreviously seen that on any gift card.

Check the balance online
This is what worries me. Only 4 of the 12 gift cards I ordered have arrived so far and I need the remainder to start spending on some of the items I’ve planned to buy with them. Hopefully they’ve not got lost in the mail and I’ll be using them ASAP in case they have been compromised when they do eventually turn up.

Regarding your order, as others have suggested maybe contact velocity.

Ozliz, with all the publicity re Australia Post transferring posties from letters/parcels under 2kg delivery to pure parcels work, it wouldn't surprise if some cards arrive in a few days. Supposedly mail is down to delivery (in urban areas: households and businesses lacking PO Boxes) to two days a week, yet I've received mail last Thursday, Friday and this week Tues and Fri.

Not sure if I am allowed to post a number so Ill just put this link here which if you put into Google Search will provide the number to call.

Or just google "Collinson 124 Walker Street, North Sydney, NSW 2060"
UPDATE - My Apple Watch arrived today. Yesterday I was told the order hadn’t been actioned when clearly it must have been
I am in the same boat - ordered on 16th and so now is 14 days. No notification from Collinson group - no email to say it has been sent (other than generic email from Velocity saying order would be processed which is same as what I imagine everyone else got. ) - no tracking number - cant check order online - email sent to velocity 2 days ago and still no reply. I know people are still waiting on orders from before this date but still frustrating as communication has been appalling to say the least. :(
UPDATE. Apple Watch arrived today. Despite being told yesterday that the order has not been processed ( by Collinson and Velocity) it arrived - no tracking number - no email. Clearly the staff dealing with the redemptions have absolutely no idea what is happening at all. All a bit adjuvant but I’m pleased it has arrived. Package was posted 30th April so delivery was very fast indeed.
