Hi, Very informative site,

I am Bronze QFF. Have sufficent points to upgrade from a Qantas International Economy Flight to Business. Im wondering is it possible for a flight from Hong Kong to Melbourne to use your points my QF FF Points for a flight upgrade on a Cathay Pacific flight. I suspect it is probably not possible as I didn't earn the points on Cathay Flights. But is there way I can upgrade myself using these points or Commonwealth Bank Award points. Or is there any other tip of how can get into business without paying. Is it possible for me join the Cathy FF program and transfer my QFF points or credit card points onto that acount. Is there any other way I could possibly be ugraded?

Failing that what is the best way to maximise my comfort in Economy. Is there a particular seat such as Emergency Exit or any other seat I should request for a flight from Hong Kong to Melbourne. Does anyone know a specific seat or seat on this flight I should attempt to request.

Thanks for your help.:D

No way to use QF FF points to upgrade on any flight that is not both operated by QF and your ticket carries a QF flight number.

If you have an Amex credit card and are enrolled in the Ascent membership rewards program then you can join Cathay's Asia Miles FFP and for every 2 Amex MR points transferred you will receive 1 Asia Miles FF point.
