Is InterContinental Brisbane Just a Crowne Plaza in a Fancier Suit?

Yep, its a crazy location for anything other than staying within the resort itself. Nice rooms, nice lounge. Nice pool/lagoon. But outside the "village" there is not much else around. I take it you saw my emoji in previous post
Yes I did. Is there a tongue-in-cheek emoji. I was in Hope Island two weeks ago but missed seeing the IC.

Has anyone got anything nice to say about the IC Brisbane? I would like some cheering up!

Its location, perhaps 😝? Right on the Queens St Mall means its very central to most CBD sites.

Better car park than Voco (very low clearance and very tight spaces) or Indigo (what car park? Oh you mean the public one a block away?).

There you go, two positive comments :)

Now eagerly awaiting your feedback before my Pre-Christmas visit.

Thanks, which is why I chose it. Note, there used to be a passage between the Voco car park and the Indigo when they were both with ACCOR.

When I stayed at Voco, my vehicle *just* fit under the max height guide (by less than 20mm), and I had lots of trouble getting into and out of the only available parking space in the dungeon they call a car park. It was really, really tight. While the NM-Bus is not a compact size vehicle, it is considerably smaller than many SUVs and Utes.

When I stayed at Indigo and paying them for parking, they provided a code to use to access a pubic card park in Tank Street. This stay we took the compact size vehicle. Size was not a problem with the public car park. It was more the inconvenience of the car park not being on-site and needing to cross two streets (Turbot and Tank) when walking, and driving around the block for arrival and departure drop-off and pack-up.

So, the link is no longer there. It came out just by the entrance to the Indigo.

I don't know if there is a physical connection or not. But what I do know is that Indigo was directing customers to the public car park in Tank St and not directing to use Voco car park.
