We need some advise on a situation where we have return red e deal.

We Need to change new outbound dates, and it maybe cheaper to purchase new one way outbound tickets (or use points).

QF have said if we did that we couldnt return on the orginal ticket, as the original outbound was not used.

Is this correct? Does the return sector on red e deal cancel if the preceding/initial sector is not used?

Cheers

All flight sectors have to be used in order otherwise sectors subject to cancellation as QF stated.

You cannot just skip the outbound sector and fly back on the inbound

Of course you may be able to use any fare credit towards a new outbound date.

But no outbound = return (or any subsequent sectors) cancelled.
