you'd have to doubt the bank losing. I'd guess that the bank that paid the credit card amount less merchant fee has access to the account any refunds paid into.
I was referring to this statement which I understood to say that a bank would be able to redraw funds which they may have paid in the final days. I do not believe that would be possible. Upon appointment of Administrators the game changes and they have wide ranging powers to claw back anything.

The powers of a liquidator are scary.

We were contacted by the administrators of a major liquidated company (one of those vocational training providers that we knew were, well, let’s say we weren’t surprised they were in trouble, they made it to the media) because we had had a previous business relationship with them. The legal letter they sent was staggering and full of threats but luckily had no relevance to us. We ran it past the accountants used by that shonky provider because they were creditors to it and were as angry as us and they sent it off to their legal providers. Their legal assertions thankfully weren’t relevant to us as it turned out but we had to decide whether to tell them to just take a hike or provide them with enough information to get them off our back. We chose the latter and haven’t heard from them since. This was four years ago and the company liquidation still hasn’t finalised as it involved politicians interstate.
