I was just wondering if anyone had flown AA recently and could confirm whether the meal orders in First and Business are still taken on the FEBO basis (notwithstanding that cabin service itself runs from front to rear)?

[FEBO - Forward start for orders in even numbered flights, Backward start for orders in odd numbered flights]

tks

It certainly is for domestic First. Can't comment on international F or J, as haven't flown int AA for ~ 9 months.

Domestic F is definitely FEBO, as is international J. Can't remember for international F.

On long-haul flights with 2 meal services, the first one is FEBO and the second is BEFO (i.e. opposite).

As of June/July this year it still appeared to be the case.
Although generally i was just happy to have any seat in F as every single flight i took this year domestic AA was 100% full.

In the 30 or so flights i've taken on AA, I don't think i've ever been on one that *hasn't* had Y full. Either their Yield Management are on the money, or they have such frequency that overselling means only a few get bumped, and not a long wait till the next flight. Either way, they've all been chockas:)

But I digest... ;)
