Hello All,
I am travelling to Limerick Ireland in September and my client tells me I should fly into Shannon International Airport.

Not having been to this part of the world before can anybody give me some clues as to lounges, airlines etc. The Qantas website tells me I can fly Gatwick to Shannon on Aer Lingus, which is an Airline Parter as opposed to One World.

I am assuming I will travel on QF9 ex Melbourne to Gatwick.

Cheers,

Party Man

Aer Lingus used to be in oneworld, but dropped out.
British Airways (BA) used to fly to Ireland, but dropped out. (NOTE their BA1/3 flights to New York DO fly to Shannon, but are just stopping there for US immigration reasons)

BA still have some codeshares with Aer Lingus from Heathrow. I'm not sure whether these also include Shannon.

In summary, Ireland is mostly a deserted Island when it comes to OneWorld. You might find a codeshare to there as part of your fare to London, but need to check out things closely.

There are no QF or BA flights that fly from <Asia>/<Australia> and arrive at Gatwick, so I assume there is a transfer from Heathrow to Gatwick involved.
