WOW - how good is the voice recognition feature with Siri on iOS 8? Been playing around this aft creating MSGS etc - amazing accuracy.

Its actually become useful for me now. If it's on power and on my desk and I can say "hey Siri" and it will activate. Rather than having to hold down the button and hold the phone.

Siri already nags me more than my +1, so please explain how this is good?

I sort of work on the theory of letting others be the guinea pigs! ;)
I already guinea piggededed myself this arvo - try creating an SMS but don't tap the keys tap microphone and use voice recognition to create the MSG - I found amazing speed and accuracy this aft.

You can even have her read your messages and reply all with out having to touch the phone at all.

And if you pick the phone up and start talking it will send the message as a voice-message. Even if you weren't intending to reply to the person you were txting using a keyboard. They get very confused, wondering what you are speaking about. Allegedly.

I installed iOS8 on my trusty iphone 4 a couple of weeks ago and it works a treat.. I like the predictive text function.

I've had no specific iOS 8 issues, but my wife (iphone 5) says that FB now keeps locking up.
Mind you, today I tried to load a single music video to my daughters ipad, using my wife's desktop PC.
-can't have two "profiles" on the same itunes.
-you can have two music libraries, but you cant sync with a music library if it is synced with a different library, gah.
So I pull out the laptop with my daughters original music library and media. And itunes. Of course with iOS 8, itunes refused to play until it was updated.
Two hours later, I had achieved what could have been done in two minutes with drag and drop.
Guess what I'll be replacing the ipads with?

My 5s no longer shows phone call history. Not sure whether it is since updating to iOS8, which I only did last week, or whether it's since the iOS 8.1 update a few days later. Oddly, it shows -1 in a red splat at the 'Recents' icon. Bizarre.

I don't like not being able to edit specific text messages or being able to forward them on. I've now received an update message for 8.1 but am waiting.

You can. Tap and hold the item on the message and then select 'More'. It'll drop you into a section you can select individual lines from a message, then tap the arrow in the bottom right.

Or you can tap and hold, select copy, then go to the person you want to send it to and paste.

THANKYOU! Why do they make things harder! Used to be able to just select edit and go from there. I would never think of pressing the message itself and no time to read the instructions!

Will pass this on at work as it stumped us Friday. One person hadn't upgraded but we all had so it was interesting to compare.

Surely reading the instructions would be the first thing to do? :)

Reading the instructions.....now there's a good idea. I will be activating my new phone shortly.

Not when I knew how to do it first time round and they changed it.

I presumed they had been reading the Qantas manual on enhancements and had deleted the option.
