Would appreciate any feedback, comments or experiences regarding Intrepid group travel in India. In particular, thoughts on the India Real Food Adventure (15 days). Thank you.

Welcome to posting!
I haven't done the Intrepid trip but I have visited all the places in the tour. I guess it depends if you are a fan of organised travel/tours. For the north & south we hired a vehicle & driver. In Mumbai we just found our own way around. I am happy to provide some recommendations if required.

I haven't used Intrepid in India but I have done four Intrepid trips (Egypt, Oman, Bolivia, Russia) in the last year or so and they have all been excellent.

Decide DIY or tour, depending on your experience with India or your experience in other developing countries.

If first time and your previous experience is low stick with the tour for the first time, specially in the North, like this tour.
The South is a little better behaved in most ways, so next time do the South and diy

Mrs Want2flymore and I had a great time when doing the golden triangle tour with Intrepid last year. Our tour guide was fabulous. The small group consisted mainly of Aussie’s and Kiwis. Everyone got along and many laughs were had. I can recommend the Bollywood movie in Jaipur, there were no subtitles and very little English spoken but the atmosphere was fantastic and you can mostly follow the plot (good guy beats bad guy). Enjoy the food, it is wonderful. The smaller group meant the tour had a more relaxed, intimate atmosphere; and we could immerse ourselves in the culture.
