Hi all.
This may be a silly one.
I've booked my wife and daughter a J redemption from Perth to Kalgoorlie for later in the week. Heading to a funeral.
It's an early morning flight.
Does intrastate J still allow lounge access.
I know it's not much, but it will at least make their experience more comfortable.

Ahhh I hadn't considered that. Presume that's cause of their financial situation?

Whatever.

It's a one hour flight and I only booked the J tix cause they were practically the same points value as Y. But it means she can take some extra stuff for her work needs.

Condolences firstly with your wife & daughters reason to visit Kal.

If they can report back on what VA is currently offering in J that would be great, certainly wouldn’t keep up the hopes for it to be anywhere near as good as this review.

Hope J lounges can be opened come November once Bain had officially taken over as I have a trip to BME early November.

I would only book intrastate flights in Y unless there is no availability.

Also don't forget that even if the lounges were open, they would have to traipse via that long walk way from T1 to T2 within the domestic security zone, as VA have said, that they have permanently closed their T2 lounge.
As above colleague mentioned though, no lounge open at the moment.
Assuming too that the plane is not subbed for an ATR without J cabin, and assuming that all the F100 have been gotten rid of by now.
Also they only give out water and snack by the look of it, from that blurb on their booking website.

Ah thanks for the latest on change of terminals, heard they closed the VA Pier however thought that was beyond us but obviously not, oh well... walking on the tarmac is ideal anyways 😉

Reviewing VA’s schedule today, surprised to see 13 cancellations including an arvo Broome flight.

Wishing for normality once again...

Regarding domestic virgin business class right now. Catering is limited to a breakfast muesli bar or cup noodles with drinks limited to water (both in bottles or cups), lemonade, coke and mini bottles of shiraz.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

My "checkout" of what PER T2 looked like, was last year sometime, they might decide to do the intrastate WA from T1 itself, and keep T2 VA regional closed off.
Haven't been to WA since the lockdown.
So, can't say for sure which terminal VA (or is it still VARA) will use for that (hopefully) 737.
Overall, I was quite happy with the VA T1 and T2 at PER, but that long walk from T1 to T2 via that internal walkway is a "long one", anyway, ask her to check it on her etix, where you or her chauffer has to drop her off.
Edit: there is always the 7.15hr Prospector if they do cancel that flight there or back.
