I am going to be travelling in a couple of months, and want to have phone & data access while in three different countries (Singapore, Sweden, Netherlands). So, the diggin around on the internet that I have done suggests the Travel Sim will work for me (have used it before but many years ago so it is very different & looks easier to use now). My current phone account is a post paid plan with Telstra, and they offer an International Roaming package which also looks ok; the bonus of this one being I don't have a different phone number.

So, I guess what I am looking for is advice/comments from people who have recently used either of these services and can give me the good, the bad and the ugly so I can try and make a decision.

Thanx!

Tradeoff between cost and convenience.
European rules change in mid-June so one card should work in Sweden and Netherlands.
Singapore it's easy to grab a SIM on arrival

As you're with Telstra it comes down to how much data do you need and for how long?

Telstra roaming is bearable for trips under 7 days with low data use but gets expensive once you go beyond that. If you can keep calls and data down, use wifi when possible then Telstra roaming is easiest.

If you're going to be running several businesses and keep Google Maps open all day and use just like at home a travel SIM will save you hundreds.
