Interline Malaysian to Singapore

Ive booked 2 separate flights KUL to SIA with Malaysian then SIA to CNS with Singapore. Is it possible to interline checked luggage so I don't have to collect bags for the 8hr layover?

Our only experience was back in 2019, but MH had no issues interlining bags to SQ. We just had to get SQ boarding passes at a transfer desk at SIN
