InterContinental Brisbane opening June 2025

I wonder what car parking will be like given the existing facility is being demolished.

I stayed there last weekend. No change from HH yet. Not even the staff uniforms.

Edit: One change from the HH - no coffee tax at breakfast. :)
Really? I stayed there early July and the re-branding was in.
The lack of apparent Ambassador recognition was a hassle. No apparent upgrade. No breakfast. But the credit worked. did get the late check out, after pushing a bit

The branding had changed but no change to anything else. Even the same worn cushions in the bar area. I.e. no refurb has started.

Looking at some dates for planning a Staycation and I have notices that for bookings between 1st October 2026 and 15th January 2027 there is no option to book rooms types with lounge access. My guess/assumption is that this is the window when they are planning lounge refurbishment. 3.5 months without an option to book a room type that includes lounge access. I have no idea what options may be available for those who receive lounge access as a benefit - I expect restaurant breakfast and maybe a general food&bev credit perhaps??

I'm staying there late September; can ask what's up when I pop by the lounge

Edit: you can still book a 2 Double Classic High Floor Lounge Access room for early October but only one room left

During COVID the lounge relocated to the atrium bar in a roped off area so that maybe a possibility.

So perhaps its the rooms that are being renovated and not the lounge? Or both during that period? I checked random dates working forwards and backwards to see what/when was available and didn't find anything for my random checks.
