Hi

I am flying WLG-SYD, and then SYD-MNL on a seperate PNR, with both flights on QF.

Will QF at WLG be able to check me in for both flights?

If not and I do OLCI for the SYD-MNL flight can I just go through transit security and direct to the lounge?

Regards

Just do the OLCI for the SYD MNL flight and show this at checkin at WLG, they should be able to verify APIS details etc and check through bags allowing an easy transit.

If not bags, just transit anyway and get the BP verified at the lounge.

You dont even need a BP to go through the transit section at Sydney, the lounge can validate your OLCI.

In my experience, after validating your OLCI BP they will throw it away and give you a "real" boarding pass; for some reason international OLCI BP's are non-preferred these days.

Sometimes, although my OLCI printed for QF5 on Saturday did the whole trip.

I'm used to that, as even the "real" boarding pass printed in WLG is normally replaced with a new "real" boarding pass in OZ. I think this is for the bar code readers in OZ, but not sure.

The cardboard or "real ones" make it easy when tearing the stubs off at the gate when boarding pax whereas there is no perforated line on an A4 piece of paper so harder to tear off.

They may reprint in Oz so it will have the gate number on tbe b/pass which they may not know when you OLCI or when you are through checked from a down line port.

Just thought I would give an update to what happened for future reference.

At check-in at WLG the counter staff said "Morning Mr Workingman, flying WLG-SYD and then you have another flight SYD-MNL. I can check you all the way through", so I did not even need to ask. Boarding passes printed all the way, so this meant a relaxing transfer with hours and hours spent in the QF F lounge.
