Hi all,

Doing the leisurely route SYD-MEL-SIN-BKK in a couple of weeks. ( you guys have corrupted me ! ,)

I'll be HLO, can I check-in all the way from the domestic J lounge ?

Last time I did a Dom check-in I waited in the international transfers queue and it was packed & took ages while I desperately needed a morning coffee kick & brekkie in the lounge

Thanks
K

Is this an actual holiday/business trip? With HLO I am assuming you are doing a wee status run?

Actually, if its all with the one PNR, you can get your QF international BP at QF SYD domestic terminal. Or do OLCI but just need passport dip/swipe.
I have done ADL - SYD - CHC, and ADL - SYD - WLG both with QF, and ADL - MEL - AKL with VA. For both airlines, the domestic section can issue international BPs.
Also fill in the green Australian OPC in SYD, and keep that with your passport.
Just need to have your passport dipped/swipped at SYD domestic, so you don't have to do the procedure in MEL, (with the OLCI BP or the QF BP you got at SYD domestic), you just need to go to SYD QF domestic departure gate for your domestic flight to MEL, go straight from MEL T1 through to frosted door at international outgoings at T2, and international security.
I thought MEL had e gate for Australian international departures, but as mentioned to me on here, no, it hasn't, so you will have to follow the Australian Border Force left and right bunting, to the 3 person staffed counter, and then to the lounge, if you have access/time, and then to the QF flight gate.
Edit: of course as WP, you have QF F lounge access.
